Fashion East
Chet Lo the newest inductee to Lulu Kennedy’s Fashion-East coterie continues the tradition as another burgeoning success story on the platform. Stocked below on SSENSE and worn by the likes of SZA, Doja Cat, Chloe Cherry and more, Chet Lo’s twist and pinch, sensual bubble wrap designs are “unabashedly sexy”. The Asian American designer brings us on a synchronized swim in a galaxy far far away as he continues to subvert traditional resort wear. Bring in Maximilian Davis who we see have a thematic link to Chet as he explores swimwear references of his own. Maximilian pays homage to his childhood vacations in the Caribbean where he talks about “wanting to look hotter than everyone else when lounging poolside.” These ideas take shape in his now signature diamond cut fleshy dresses, vinyl trousers, and fully harnessed oil slicked models. It was as if a “pose war” (as he called them) was about to break out pool-side. A seasoned veteran on the Fashion-East platform, marking his 3rd season with this collection.
